Lauramine Oxide and TSP??

Most of us do not use the tsp with Ammonyx lo, and I dont think tsp will break down the SH.

if the A-lo took the place of the dawn why do you cut out the tsp? I have been useing both.

my understanding on this is that the ammonyx lo thickens up the mix better than the dawn, therefore letting the mix stay on the roof longer, letting it work much better. it doesn't take the place of tsp but it allows you not to use it unless the roof is really bad. plse correct me if I am wrong.

You can still use TSP with Lauramine Oxide (Ammonyx LO) if you like.
If doing so, there should be no need to exceed 1/4 to 1/2 cup of TSP per gallon of total mix. Actually, for all but the very most filthy roofs 1/4 cup TSP will be fine with the Ammonyx LO, and several people are just using Ammonyx LO w/o any TSP.

Guys, this is kind of like buying a wheel alignment. In the old days, a wheel alignment meant setting caster, camber, and toe in, and repacking wheel bearings.

Now, a "wheel alignment" costs 29.95, and they just set the toe, and let it go!

The addition of some TSP to the Ammonyx LO makes a really nice looking roof, but so does just the Ammonyx LO and Apple Butter alone. The difference is subtle, but can be more pronounced on some roofs. TSP is especially good at removing atmospheric pollutants from a roof, and imparts a newness look that is hard to acheive otherwise on light colored shingles.
You must decide how good of a job you want to give your customers. But, if I were cleaning Moms roof, you can bet there would be some TSP(1/4 cup per gallon) to go with the Ammonyx LO!

Chris, in regards to the TSP not breaking the SH down, this is correct?
We are doing our beat up garage roof today (it is ready for replacement) and want to try some mixed in but would like to keep the leftover mix. This will be okay?
