Starting to wonder how dangerous this roof cleaning can really be, I wonder if using 10' or 12' step ladders would be better that an extension.

I use to love climbing roofs installing X-Mas lights, etc..

Very sorry to hear about your brother. I'll contribute to a fund. No one should have to go through something like this. Hopefully we can learn from this and all be safe out there. My thoughts and prayers go out to your brother.

The first thing he said was when I talked to him was " I should have used the ladder with the stabilizer."

the product on the first link is a bit expensive, but is really worth having especially in roof cleaning for the guys that take ladder safety serious.

I am really sorry to hear about your brother. That must be a very long injury to recover from and I'm sure he has a very long road ahead of him. Please keep us updated on his condition. I will be praying for him.

I am sure you have your hands full right now and he is scrambling to save his business, I probably live 1 to 2 hours away but if you give me enough advance time I would be willing to help out for a long day and maybe bring my helper along too.

Let me know and let your brother know that the entire RCIA is pulling and praying for him!

Truly sorry to hear about anyone getting hurt,..I don't care if it's in the roof cleaning business or not.
I hope the guys here who are here laughing at safety,... and getting their kicks out of posting their bravery pictures, get something out of this and the David Vicars thread. But they won't,...they're simply bigger than that,...and all the safety crap.
