So I sprayed a roof yesterday thought I watered the ground well enough but low and behold two of the plants around the house had alittle to much to drink and didn't make it . This job was a freebie for my door knocker . I guess his wife's aunt was so upset it brought her to tears!!!!!! . On average how may of you fine roof cleaners still kill a plant or two?
I haven't killed one yet. I've only personally done a few dozen roofs, though.
I have burned a few though. Just burnt one yesterday. A six inch wide dead zone right through the heart of a beautiful gardenia bush.
Live and learn.

I know that Chris Tucker said to remind customers to water down the plants after a light rain (best to do a follow up call). I also think that it would be a great idea to write a reminder at the bottom of the invoice. What you think?
Does anyone know about how much water on average the plants or flowers soak up ??? -----------------
It depends on the type of plant...To be safe, flood the flower bed before, during, and after. Be careful with the floweres though because too much water can kill them. If your runoff is going into flowers, I suggest tarping and diverting the runoff to go somewhere else. Flowers are really delicate.
I haven't ruined any plants cleaning a roof, yet, but I killed some grass when my X-Jet bucket leaked during a house wash. It's embarrassing, but it does happen!
