No Rinse. I did notice that the low pitch kept the Amonyx from reaching its full foaming potential ( IMHO). To me, it seems the faster it tries to run off, the more it foams and sticks...(this roof was about a 3-12), and the mix never really "ran" off that much anyway. Not as many suds as usual, but STELLAR results!

I know this is a newbie question, but if I am unable to find a good supply of SH is pool chlorine the next best thing. I have tried searching an answer for this, I just haven't found a definate yes or no.
Pool Chlorine is Calcium Hypo Chlorite. Yes it will work. Chlorine is what does the trick. You can get a higher percentage of chlorine in SH than Pool Chlorine. So therefore you use a lot more Pool Chlorine than SH when you clean a roof.
I've been softwashing & roof cleaning on and off for 10 years now, and I've never used any Chlorine but Pool Chlorine. However, I will give the disclaimer that I do live in Florida, I get very fresh Chlorine ( my supplier brings in 1-3 truck loads per week) and my Pool Chlorine runs about 1.50 per gallon.
I typically use a 35-40% chlorine mixture on most shingle roofs. I was experimenting last week and used Amonyx LO and a 30% mixture and got satisfactory results. Had to re-spray a few problem areas on roof.

My SH supplier bottles skids and skids of 1 and 5 gal containers for pool supply companies. They pump the same stuff into my tanks ($2.00/gal). It's 12.5% sodium hypochlorite. I assume this is also "Pool Chlorine"??
It's not the same as pool chorine. I have seen it called pool shock, pool sanitizer. Tha tis the stuff that is SH. Read the bottle. It will tell you what it is. Aks them how fresh it is tho. Big difference between pool supply places as to how long the stuff sits around.
Pool Chlorine (Calcium Hypo Chlorite) and SH are both used to sanitize swimming pools, drinking water, etc... I you can't find either of them in your area, ask someone in either of those 2 fields what type of sanitizer they use and where they get it.

I do Love the convenience of being able to just drive up and fill my tanks. On a busy week we go through about 600+ gals of fresh SH. I spend more $$ on SH than I do on fuel most weeks.
That sure is a lot of love you have and use Larry. hahahahaha
Hope to see you in Florida at the end of July. Long time no talk.
