I know I came across a thread awhile back and can't find the info.
Based on a 15 Gallon SH with 45 Gallon H2O What amount of ammonyx Lo would you use
for the follow pitches?
2/12 to 5/12
6/12 to 7/12
8/12 to 10/12
11/12 to 12/12
12/12 up to 16/12
Mansored roofs.
I have a steep roof in my neighborhood and it's a hip roof around a 12/12 with a chimney and two skylights on the north slope that is full of algae. No Gutters, and want it to stick nicely.
Start with 3 cups for the 2 to 5 then 4 cups for the 6 to 10 and 5 cups + for all the rest... I am not sure because I do not mix up 60 gallons at a time, but it sounds close to me
On any roof with alot of pitch, I would bump the SH up to 20 gallons the faster it runs off the less time it has to work. Ammonyx is great, but still has it's limits.
The runoff will be great so I would make the chemicals stronger and don't spray so much so there is a lot of runoff.
Plan on taking more time to do the job because of the runoff, don't just flood everything as it will be more likely plants and grass will suffer.
No matter what you add to the roof mix, when it is that steep there will be more runoff because of gravity. You could try doubling the Amonyx Lo for better cling but there will still be runoff when sprayed. I would spray light coats, dwell, repeat until it is clean.

I agree with Jeff and Chris. Bump up your chemical. Also, for extrememly steep roofs, try some of the ammonyx m. Its supposily thicker than the lo from what Ive heard.
You will be fine though with the lo. Dawn will even work. I did a 15/12 pitch a couple weeks a ago using dawn. I sprayed 3 light coats to avis too much runoff. There were no gutters.
Ditto bump up the chem, then you can use a lighter spray to achieve results. Be patient with the run down, spray the top and wait to see how far it comes down. If it's fast just wait and let it sit then fill in with a light spray and wait etc.

Jeff, try different mixes on your own. You'll get the best feed back that way.
Here is one I just did with the chem bumped up as I spoke about before, did this half roof w/14 gal and then a few more for the back treatment. We traded this job for a 6hr charter for 6ppl.
Did you walk that roof to clean it. I noticed the siding is cedar and I've read that you don't want the mix to touch Cedar? Sounds like a nice trade Roof Cleaning for fishing.
Cedar siding isn't so bad to take care of,...I just keep it wet,...be accurate,... and I've never had a problem. But,...dormers with cedar is kind of touchy,...you have to walk a tight line when trying to keep the cedar wet, yet keep the roof from getting to much water,.Ha,Ha,... and affecting the performance of the mix.
