okay here is my problem. I can buy chlorine for about 188 dollars a brl, pay 40 dollars just to get the brl, I have no problem with that but to get it shipped to me its like 150 bucks, and yep thats the closest place I can get it. I could drive to get it but its going to cost me 100 dollars in gas, so can I use regular 6 % bleach from costco. and how much should I use? or should I spend the cash and use the 12.5 %. that averages out to almost six and a half bucks per gallon.
When I started my business 16 years ago, we used store bought SH mixed it with water & applied it with a manual pump up sprayer. A lot of work but there was no competition back then and prices were higher due to the labor. But it worked!
They might!! It will work but take a lot more, you might even find it is costing you the same. Your local waste water treatment plant buys fresh SH, find out who they are getting it from. It's a public service, they are not going to try and hide who their supplier is.
thanks for the advice guys. I did some more reading and sure enough about twenty phone calls later I found 15 gallonn containers of 12.5% sh for 46.50 not the best but not bad compared to before. best part is its only 20 minutes from the house. I did find a company that will deliver it in tank form. I mean I need a 200 plus tank and they will stop buy and fill it up. this site is the best and thanks again.
Found "Swimming Pool Wearhouse" stocks lots of fresh 10% by the gallon. Still almost $4 a gallon but a better deal than Clorox or Ramteq 12% which is over $6 a gallon!
Bob, Take that deal its not badat 3.10 a gallon. Once you buy from them awhile you will get it cheaper. We pay 1.50 a gallon but we buy it in 300 gallon totes. Shc is cheap. We also get tsp from our supplier at around .90 cents a pound.

PS Plan on buying it by the palet.
I remember those days to, I hated having all those empty containers in site. Hello look at me I use bleach. The home owner thinks to him self? I can do this my self, just go by me some bleach.
I had to do the gallon thing on a good size project a while back. 33 cases of gallon jugs, that was fun getting rid of all those containers and cases.
I would pour the chemicals into my trailer tank before I got to the job, a lot less hassle and you don't want to have people out there thinking all kinds of thoughts.

well I just got a call back from a guy out of seattle, can't remember his company name but saved the number. he said if I get things going he will supply me a tank and deliver the sh for 2.25 a gallon. not bad from the 3.10 I got quoted so far. yes it is 12.5%
i don't have a tank or anything at home. But i am getting it for .90 cents a gallon here. But it would be useful to have for a job on the weekend when the shop is closed
Bob, Thats not bad but you can get it cheaper. We just got a new quote todaay from our supplier. $1.10 delivered in 300 galllon tote. The good thing about roof cleaning is that our supplies are in expensive. It's the time and dedication to our customers landscaping that cost. We would rather spend an extra hour at their place to assure that their landscaping is safe.
SH prices are all over the place up here. One place does a 45gal drum for $197 and the other supplier can give it to me for $98.40 and they can still go cheaper with multiples. Both is 12.5% and both has constant turnover...
