I was on my roof the other day tinkering with mixtures and noticed a white haze, after the roof dried, in a small area of my roof that i treated with the apple sauce mixture. Any ideas of what this might be from? Thanks in advance.

Depends on what your haze looks like, but could be a few differant things. Either salt crystals, undissolved tsp, or maybe dead lichen or moss if your roof was dirty.

What was the roof dirty with when you cleaned it? If its not dead bodies of algae/bio material, then its likely something in the sauce. I don't use tsp in my mixture, and I get a white have sometimes.
It will clear up with a good rain. If you're not a rinser, always set that standard with your customer.

I've always wondered why every shingled roof doesn't dry with a whitish haze. After all, anytime SH dries on anything it leaves a white residue behind. But even on the brown and even darker roofs, it isn't very distinctive at all when left to dry. I can see it if I look for it, but it isn't very noticeable overall.
I you did rinse are you using liquid sodium hypochlorite or a similiar version, You buy in powder from a pool supply store? With washing houses the later leaves a film.
