Landed the first apartment complex bid today. No its not for roof cleaning, just pressure washing. Ive really been trying to target these large complexes and Im pumped to see a return.
Ive washed some duplex complexes and did a partial wash on a 200 unit one last winter but this is the first big one from the ground up.
I priced roof cleaning all of the buildings but they said theyre not doing it. I havent gave up on that yet.
12 bldgs 100 units
Makes me want to get out and write a few more estimates.
Hey Chris - I have noticed quite a few complexes in my area as well that are in serious need of some roof cleaning. This seems like a no brainer to me that they'd want to spend the money to get this done instead of actually replacing the roofs before they have to. I've had a little trouble getting to speak to the right person at some of these complexes....any suggestions?
You will want to contact the property manager of these places and talk to them and try to set up a estimate and demo. Once they see whata differance you can make, they will pass it on to whom ever is incharge of the financial end of the complex. About 85% of the time this will lead to getting the job.

Try writing a letter to the board. They control the property managers. I've been on a letter writing campaign the last couple of weeks and it's been working out good. I just landed a very big power washing job. Plus other thing I do with condo maintenance. Most condo's want comp Ins. If you got it, that helps a lot. Put that in your letter. Good Luck
