I really know nothing about building a website, and I don't think I have any interest in trying to do it my self, so how do I hire the right person to build a site for roof cleaning, and how much should I expect to pay for a awsome site.
You can build a website your self at yahoo.com. They have SiteBuilder over there. Its $14.00 a month. It works the same as when you post on this site. Very easy. Start with 1 page and build from there. Check out my site at www.thesidingguy.com. I can help you along the way if needed.
Clyde I got this girl in Jackson. Not too far from you. She will build you 1 page site for $250 or 5 page site for $450. She does my flyer art also. Let me know if you want her #
If you decide to build your own, you can use yahoo, or website tonight on godaddy. They both should be fairly user friendly, and get your basic site up and running. Then you can add to the site and work on SEO as you have time and learn more about it. A good site can bring in new customers, but a basic site can be used to help seal the deal with potential customers. Everytime I recieve a call for an estimate, I direct them to my site. It makes closing the sale that much easier.
All fine and good, but an average website is like a pretty girl no one ever sees. www.expand2web.com. has the BEST web sites you can buy, at a really good price. They are only 149.00, and come with video support. Anyone can do it, just fill in the blanks. Just as the state of the art roof cleaning pumps/hose combinations we use will SMOKE a lesser set up, so will Don's web sites! Think about it, I have spent a considerable amount of time on a lot of you guys, even made friends! Do you really think I would send you somewhere that was not the best deal for you ? My personal high Google rank, along with the Forums high rank is no "accident" I have figured out the search engine puzzle, and so has Don Campbell. His websites are kicking azz in way more competitive markets then roof cleaning. if ypou get a web site from him, and LISTEN to his instructions, you will soon OWN your local market! My carpal tunnel is acting up, my wrist is sore. I would at least talk to Don before you make any move you may later regret ?
Thanks for everyone's advise, I am going to work on building my website.
RCIA offers a wealth of knowledge here on this forum board. I believe I have been over looking all this google search, websites, rankings, and etc, so I going to get up to speed with this.
I believe this will surely help bring in business. You know doing the work is the easy part, getting business is the hard part. Trust me if you were to get five roofs a day you would figure out how to get them done.
