I own a business in St. Charles, MO (suburb of St. Louis) slip proofing tile and concrete floors in all types of businesses. Business slows down in the warm months so I am looking for additional service type of business. As I drive from jobsite to jobsite, it seems every third house has what looks like mold or algae on the shingles. My question is this... I know nothing about roof cleaning so where can I learn what is needed and what is involved? for instance:
1. What are the steps in cleaning a tile roof?
2. Is there training available anywhere?
3.What equipment is necessary for start-up?
4. What solutions are the best to use?
5. How do I keep my Knucklehead employees from falling off of the roof?
6. What the heck is "love solution" ?
As you can see, I really do know NOTHING. Am I a dumbell or can I really go into this business? Any help would be appreciated. As I navigate through this site it appears that most of you are professionals so I know I can rely on your advise.
My name is Frank Misuraca and I own Traction Masters, LLC.
The answers to any and all of your questions can be found using the search feature at the top of this page. It takes some time and a lot of reading, but trust me the answers are there. IF you can't find an answer to something off the wall, come on here and ask. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask. As far as employees falling off roofs, very few people using our system don't even get on roofs. Most work is done from the gutterline or the ground. Good luck and stay in touch. There is also a lot of info regarding the epidemic growth of this algae that is spreading across the U.S, Gary
