I can attest to this , the roof we cleaned from the side but we noticed how slick it looked once we had it coated. these are beautiful roofs though and they clean good.

manufacturer info on how to walk on stone coated steel roofing. avoid walking on them if all possible. rick
We do quite a bit of stone coated steel roof cleaning here in Florida. Last month, we sent a truck down to South Florida to clean 6 stone coated steel tile roofs in Broward County. These roofs can be ruined in a heartbeat by someone who does not know what he is doing.
Since I've been reading the forum and educating myself on roof cleaning, I've been paying particular attention to the different types of roofs while driving - yes keeping my eyes on the road. I've noticed this type of roofing on commercial buildings and in particular on fire stations. I didn't know what it was until now. Supposedly the average life span of a stone coated steel roof is 2-3 times that of a traditional asphalt roof.
Stone coated roofs do look nice but if you are looking for an efficient roof, metal roofs are the way to go. I however think these type of roofs look modern and unique. I think its the way to go in roofing.
