Has anyone been able to get the media (newspapers, tv stations,etc.) to do a segment on roof cleaning to educate the public? This industry is so new and there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in the service, at least in my area. People look at you like you're crazy when you start talking about cleaning their roof. Most say they didn't know it could be done. Anyone have any luck with media interest?

I am having the same problem Gary and we have a story coming out soon in the local Livingston County paper. I ask people do you see how bad you roof is and everyone always says no  and then they don't care? It drives me nuts!
 
I just called the newspaper and explained to him about the problem everyone is having with their roofs and he said it was perfect timing and he wanted to do the story.
 
The reporter said it was going to be on the front page of the business section, and he wanted me to check my schedule and call him ASAP so he could send a crew out to shoot pictures and video of us cleaning a roof.

I looked at my schedule and I picked out a house that I thought would work and I asked the homeowner if it would be ok and she was delighted to do it... then she asked about a discount and I gave her $50.00 off her cleaning job!

We are scheduled to be their Tuesday the 30th weather permitting, and as soon as it hits the paper I will post it so others could use it for their local papers.

Next will be the Local TV news...  ... this is the house we are cleaning.
