Will the mix lighten the color of darker asphalt shingles?  You don't see to many pictures of the darker roofs.

Nope. It does not bleach out the shingle color at all.

Arrgh, you guys beat me 2 it Larry and Pat !!
WE clean black colored roofs all the time, no bleaching.'
Now, clay tile is another matter!
Use the roof cleaning chemical too strong, and look out!
It can dull the red clay tiles.
