I talked to a few different chemical company's in the beginning of summer about the 15% SH and when they first make SH in bulk it is 15% but once they put it in the 55 gl drums or haul it and place it in large containers it is usually about 12.5% ratio but it will lose its strength after a period of time. I usually get 4 to 6 55 gl drums a week but if I have a big job I can get it with in a 2 day period if needed.
Most SH is 15% by volume 12.5% by weight, or maybe it is the other way around?? Either way, they may actually be the same thing. SH breaks down rapidly then stabilizes at the 12.5% level for 30-60 days then rapidly breaks down to 1-3% One distributor I bought it from used to sell it 2-days out of the factory and it was at very very strong for a few days then became the same as any other 12.5% I have used. Also I have a friend that works at a SH factory and he brings me 25% percent sometimes in 5 gallon jugs. It seems the same as the 2 day out stuff I was getting. Too bad they wanted way to much $$ for it to compete. I was paying over $4 per gallon!!

Hey guys. A bit off topic, but from what I gather here TSP will strentghen my SH. Is this true? Will it act as a detergent similar to Dawn? I don't have alot of experience with TSP and only ever used straight pressure on wood or 6% SH for siding. I bought some TSP at a local paint store to get acquainted with it. It has a warning not to come in contact with glass but didnt say why. What is the affect of TSP on glass? Can anyone answer me these questions 3? Thanx
