If the average cost to clean a roof is say.....$400, would it makes sense to quote a potential customer the $400 or as an option -----give them a $25-or $50 discount if they sign up for a yearly maintenence program of a light version of the cider to prevent the algae coming back, say $150/year (REOCURRING REVENUE).
This way you dont always have to be looking for new business, and know starting January 1st that you have X amount of money coming in. After a few years of doing it, you would have it made.
Just thinking of ways to expand or build the business properly.
Have a great weekend.

Funny I just read a thread about this very thing on another BBS and the conclusion I came to was that your profit margin would not let this work. You might use a lighter chem mix but the set up, teardown and drive time are the same. Chems are the least amount of cost. Let it come back and they will call you again. Keep in constant contact with your customers like a quarterly postcard so they don't forget your name.
I have alot of trouble getting them to let it happen even if they agree to it at time of initial cleaning. They usually say, "ohh it looks fine so we don't need it", and as Pat said, in another year or two it starts to come back and they want to get the cheaper treatment price still. SO... I still try and sell some, and a few do it every year.
