along with using our search try using Google found a lot of information in about 2 mins of searching. Please put in the time to do your own research and then if you have tried then ask a question. I have found out between This site search and Google theirs almost nothing you can't find out on your own on general info

I'm not an expert how ever there are experts on this site.. I would think that by killing and removing the one thing damaging the roof and preventing it's return ( alge) the roof would have a greater life. Only makes sense.

It wont last longer per say, but then it wont deteriorate as fast either. In other words your chances of getting your life span from your shingle is greater if you have it cleaned verses not having cleaned.
Ave roof not cleaned 15-17 yrs
Cleaned roof 25-30 yrs if you have a 25-30 yr shingle.. so to say they will get 35 out of a 30 yr shingle is not so ..

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE is always a good thing!

Just like your truck if you never wash it the paint wont last as long!
