I hear it works good and i get calls from them all the time. They tell me that they can put me on the front page of google. Well I am already there. Just leery as I get 6 calls a day and they all involve me paying to get on the front page of google and like I said I am there for roof cleaning, house wash, gutter cleaning and others. Some of them 8 of the first 10 results for Clarksville. I think I am going to wait for now.
I think it Sucks. Here in Tampa, roof cleaning is VERY competitive. By the time we got the leads, they were old, and Service Tragic wanted PAID for stale bread!
This is only MY experiences with them, and it was YEARS ago too! Maybe they have improved ??
My advice ? Start on the Internet with Google Local FIRST, do a Merchant Circle Page second, and a website third.
Thanks for the advice Chris I`m set up as you say. But what about an area that is not cleaning roofs? I acted as a HO & in my area it said a roof cleaner could NOT be found. Kipp

Some areas call Grits Hominy !! Some areas call a Cute Chick a Cute Broad.
Down here people search for roof cleaning, not roof cleaners.
Get a Google Blog like I have, click on my signature, and find the Blog and get you one.
Post on it once every two weeks or so, more if you like.
I had a bad experience with Service Magic. However, I would not discourage anyone from trying them out. You have to have multiple marketing strategies going on at all times to see what works for you and your company. You have to ask yourself "do I want to compete with those other companies?" If Mrs. Johnson can't afford your services, she'll pick the bloke from Service Magic. Let them if those are the clients you are not looking for. Like I tell my customers, if you base your purchase decision on price alone and then are not satisfied, YOU HAVE LOST A 100% OF YOUR INITIAL INVESTMENT. To me it's simple, it's like comparing a cheeseburger to a steak. Nothing wrong with a cheeseburger, but I'm looking for clients who like steak. One of my buds runs a successful carpet cleaning biz, he is not the cheapest guy in town, but not the most expensive either. Check out the last 2 paragraphs on his homepage intro. http://www.jrpcarpetcare.com/ He makes a great argument and it can be applied to our industry. Just my 2 cents...
I too have a bitter taste in my mouth with Service Magic. Their clientele are a bunch of low ball wanting customers who waste my time. When I am busy, which is most of the time, I would need to hire someone to answer the phone just to keep from getting stale leads. I seldom even answer my phone because of advertisers for the yellow pages, etc... Once you answer it is hard to shake them off without being rude. I have found that most customers leave messages.http://www.katypowerwashing.com/
they keep hounding me as well. I just cant justify $12-15 a lead for something that is not even 30% guaranteed. Google has been working for me as well as craigslist. All free. Also yahoo directory has aslo been working. I guess service magic works for some people just not me personally.
