This is no joke. A few years ago we were paying 50 something a square for architectual shingles its in the 80s now. Thats not 50% but its enough to make a guy learn how to clean them LOL
Raw Petroleum and refining cost drive pricing not only with Asphalt shingles but all things rubber. Price increases passed along from the manufactures seldom roll back even when their own raw material cost drop. Purpose being to hopefully level out recent, current and estimated quarterly profit/loss ratios that drive the company’s stock prices. It’s wild to read and learn how corporations manipulate and hedge bets with their capital or lack of capital assets and cash flow.
