anyone have anything that works to remove rust from shingles? Thanks for any help
I've had to remove Rust from Shingle Roofs. Of course I never took any pics...Normally I use Super Iron Out from HD or Lowes. Mix it up in a pump up sprayer. It takes it right off. You can also use Oxilic Acid if you have any. That works also.
Go to Home Depot! The product is callllleedddddd... Ohhhh I 'm not telling!!
Ok! OK! Let go of my arm! It is called - "A Must For Rust" Just spray it on and walk away! May take a couple of applications but it works really good here in Memphis
This Iron out....any chance of staining the shingle if left on to long?
The Iron Out pulls the Rust Stain out of the surface. I normally rinse it off with a little water. I've used it on Shingle Roof Cleaning and also on Tile Roof Cleaning when needed and NEVER had a problem with it leaving any type of residual stain. It also works great for removing Iron stains from fertilized pellets, battery acid stains and Rust Stains from metal Patio Furniture.
The next time you have a Roof Cleaning with Rust Stains let us know how it worked for YOU. It's always good to get feedback on any type of advise that is given.
