     Brett, I mean this as kindly as possible. If you "just jump into it", that will make you the equivalent of the hack down the street who only cares about making that beer money, and never does his or her due diligence BEFORE they start something. Not calling you a hack, just being honest.

     DEFINITELY DO NOT JUMP INTO IT! This is a professional trade, and it needs to be treated as such. Tell the customer you'll get back to them shortly, then spend every waking moment on these forums learning everything you can in order to do it correctly. If you have any questions, or need anything, call me anytime. My line is ALWAYS open to ANYONE on these boards. Most of the veterans on here are the same way. Tucker, Sullivan, Westman, etc will be glad to help in any way we can.

Kevin, I completely understand what you are saying and I thought that would be the response that I may get. I have be reading a ton of threads on this site for a few weeks now and it has been an awesome help so far.

I guess the fear I have because I have never done this is telling the customer I can just spray a cleaner on and the streaks will just go away. Thats a hard thing to say when you have never seen the cleaner work before. But I guess thats why I have to get a little experience first. Thanks for comments

The difference between experience and first time jitters is DOING YOUR FIRST JOB and taking all the advice and knowledge you have now acquired HERE ON THE RCIA and, finally USING it.

You should not have a fear based bone in your body.

Why? Because if you have been thinking, eating, reading, EXCRETING Roof Cleaning.....then you have all your answers except for PRACTICAL hands on experience.

Take this with a GRAIN OF SALT and not disrespectfully please.....but .....

If you are unsure, lack confidence and are utterly intimidated AND all of this, AFTER reading posts for several weeks, then maybe, heights and roof cleaning isn't your gig? Maybe stick with the pressure washing?

If you have been Consuming notepads BECAUSE of taking LOTS of notes, if you have been doing occasional "toilet reading"(bring the laptop with wireless in the John with the RCIA board pulled up on the net), if you have been asking questions, posting questions, doing research, FOLLOWING important links to chemical compatibility charts, spray patterns, flow rates, chemical MSDS, getting all your DUCKs in a row and fish in a barrel, then you are ready to do YOUR first roof cleaning.

If you are STILL second guessing the APPLE SAUCE / CIDER and its abilities, then, WOW?

You MAY be too cynical for even me to win over "from the dark side"

You all CAN do this and the procedures and methods outlined here on the Roof Cleaning Institute OF America DO WORK or I would NOT waste another breath, keyboard stroke, or the countless hours of trying to educate guys like you.

The Roof Cleaning Veterans here on the RCIA make MONEY cleaning ROOFS, not posting our roof cleaning secrets and methods, HARD WON from lots of years of "TRIAL and ERROR" here on the RCIA. You are getting what amounts to a VERY EXPENSIVE roof Cleaners EDUCATION for FREE that cost many thousands of hours and dollars for other here to learn the OLD FASHIONED way.

I don't have a second thought of trying to post the ALMOST 400 posts on the subject of ROOF CLEANING using Non-Pressure Chemical Cleaning agent methodology.

If you are a "DOUBTING THOMAS" then get over it QUICKLY by finding a LOCAL roof full of Gloeocapsa Magma ALGAE and go mix a small batch of Apple Sauce/Cider Sauce and apply to an affected area and watch, OBSERVE and record your findings.

Re-apply if you used too weak a mix (side note: don't beat yourself up if everything is not PERFECT the FIRST time, it will get BETTER).

Now, from the ground, after waiting, this is called, (giving the cleaning AGENT DWELL TIME) 1/2hr to 1 hour, then, go rinse the area by just spraying the TEST area with clear water (from the ground)

Remember to cover,wet, tarp plants and landscape where needed beforehand

Do this and post YOUR result.....??? This is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE PEOPLE.

This is Roof Cleaning using proven, repeatable, SOUND cleaning methods that you are being "SPOON FED"

Put away all your per-conceived ideas of what you know about pressure cleaners and cleaning using high pressure methods and re-learn that you CAN learn new things.

I am here to tell you its true,

You can teach an old Pressure Cleaner, NEW Roof Cleaning TRICKS".

I am a former CERTIFIED, REFORMATTED  pressure cleaning contractor.

You just need to be MORE open and more willing?

No, Mobileworks, this roof cleaning trade is NOT an EASY, quick fix to EZ money 3am in the morning INFOMERCIAL of "get RICH quick".

In a INCREASINGLY CROWDED pressure Cleaning market where every Tom, Dick and Hairy has a Home Depot or Lowe's washer and a turbo nozzle and some CHLORINE saying on a handwritten shingle, " I-R-A ROOF KLENEER", you KNOW you need to have a MARKET niche' otherwise you would NOT be here searching the RCIA for add-on services to offer your customers.

As I am SURE you KNOW but it is worth repeating, "Anything worthwhile takes eduction, knowledge, patience, and TRUST in the PROCESS".

Question:? EXACTLY which RCIA post's have you been READING?

They may not be the one's Mike or Chris, Larry, Kevin, Jeff or Myself have been posting.

In THOSE posts we spill OUR guts and bring blood, sweat and tears AND years of pressure cleaner AND ROOF CLEANING experience to the (RCIA) roof cleaning institute.

Do yourself and the RCIA a favor.....

Go clean some roofs the way we TEACH YOU here on the RCIA, using Low pressure, high volume pumps , the right hose, tips,nozzles and reels and chemical LOVE combination's "as suggested" and take pictures of EVERY move , EVERY angle.

DO THE TEST described ABOVE to fix your negative outlook on this and prove to yourself with your OWN pics, that this is the REAL DEAL.

CHANGE up your "could be attitude" and your OUTLOOK will be one of "CAN DO", INSTEAD of, "I don't know if this is even for real".

Ok ALL. I am done with my rant.

Don't get me started again, please. I am an unusually patient and respectful person.

Go clean some family, friends, even your own roofs for free to gain some experience and post back with a "Positive MENTAL Attitude" (PMA) and PM me when you have COMPLETED this task.

You can do this if you want to.

Just believe in yourself, AND the RCIA and keep a P.M.A, OK?

It was WET and stormy Overkill today.

Rained so hard and long everything is FLOODED, I was out working IN THE RAIN most of the day, I stayed completely SOAKED and I got 1/3rd of what I needed to do..done..
