I own a power washing business in a small town near Austin, TX.  I have been in
business now for about 3 years.  I am not fly by night, I carry insurance and
have a very good reputation in town.   Most of my experience is in flat work,
some in fleet cleaning and quite a bit of residential cleaning also.

I am not happy with my product when it comes to roof cleaning.  I bought a
pitch witch and have had mixed success with it.  I deal with two power wash
supply companies and the chemicals I have bought from them don't do nearly
as well as what you use.

I see that you teach roof cleaning, I assume safety with chemical mixing,
watering vegetation etc.  Do you have any thing on DVD that I could buy that
would give me more insight on your methods?  I certainly don't want to just
mix the cider recipe and go cold turkey on some unsuspecting homeowners roof.
I use an XJet for my downstreaming applications and would also be curious as to
how I would calculate the correct proportion.  My machine is a 5 gpm Hydro-tek.

Sorry if most of this has been covered already.  I just found this website and think it's great.  Looking forward to earning a certification with y'all.

Downstreaming dont work very well for roof cleaning.
Suggest a 12 volt chemical spray pump, and at least 1/2 inch or 5/8 hose.
The Shurflo, Flojet, and Delavans are all good pumps.
Find a dirty roof to practice on, plenty here in Tampa, Florida, LOL

Chris, you and I should talk about the DVD concept.

One of my closest friends produces training DVDs and various other marketing materials.

Kevin, I did the roof power wash thing also.  It sucks.  Becoming a premium member will help.  The actual chemicle formulas are there.  But plan on spending a few days or weeks reading and you'll be amazed how much info is here.
